Victoria Warehouse asked Mancsy to design them a mural. Mancsy wanted to share his message that Manchester is a hub of creativity. We are a city of 1st, a city of inventors, a city of people who do things differently. Our portfolio ranges from developments in science to the arts, music and sport.
As The Whitworth and HOME open their doors and we invite the world to join us for another spectacular Manchester International Fesitival, creativity is very much in the consciousness of the city.
Mancsy shares this message with his words: Creativity is forged in Manchester on the anvil of industry. The design features Mancsy's play on the bee from the Manchester coat of arms, representing the people of Manchester during our industrial days, with a hazard twist to it's stripes.
The big reveal occurred during the preview party for Mancsy's exhibition in the warehouse. The exhibition runs daily from 9-8pm until 10th May, while the banner is there for the foreseeable future.
